I'm on my way to getting my degree. I can now look to the future with my head held high. Thanks to the people who wished me luck! :D :D

I have to stand in front of my dissertation committee and basically answer their questions and show them I can do research and that I deserve to get a Ph.D. degree. I'm pretty nervous about the whole thing, really, because if it doesn't go well I'm screwed. On the other hand, I'm hopeful that I'm going to succeed. I have two things to do today, finalize my presentation and re-read my dissertation.
Wish me luck!

My dad was feeling neck pain, but he's getting better. Also, I've been writing a research paper. And I've been doing more videos, including this one:
Also, I found a way to do Flash animations without flash; it basically takes some mad UNIX skills, and it would take a while to explain.

After a year of being a teaching assistant, things are now as quiet as ever. I've made new fractal animations and artworks. And I'm in a plug-and-chug phase of my research. So life is ... pretty good. I'm back to my normal state of feeling bored and anxious at the same time. But I do have some moments where I have more time on my hands.
And with that, here's one of my newer vids:

But it was really exciting. I managed to juggle between research and being a teaching assistant for a biochemistry course.
I also made some new art to keep myself from getting too stressed, and I even made some videos like this one:

Now that I'm done with this semester, I just feel really tired. You'd feel the same way if you went through a few months worth of hard work, which I bet there are plenty of people here who've been through just that.

Well it looks like my latest audio submission was a flop. (shrugs) I guess the intro took too long or something. I guess I'm better off just doing the actual fractal midi converted to MP3, nothing more. Oh well.
Oh, and sorry for not posting very often; you see, I'm a graduate student in biology and I dedicate a lot of time to studying.

It's nice to be here on Newgrounds. I'm mainly an audio kind of guy around here, so expect music from me, especially fractal music. For those of you who don't know, a fractal is an irregular mathematical pattern that has many levels of detail and self-similarity (self-similarity is when the pattern repeats itself). Fractals have been applied to art, music, and even biology and biochemistry.
